Job Role

This role is to ensure the smooth functioning of the ICT operational environments that support, core infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Virtualisation and Networking), Business Applications and End User Solution (Citrix, M365, Thin Clients) to the business: Primary areas of responsibility include: –

  • Primary focus is to act as an End User computing engineer for the wide ICT team, including monitoring and supporting the existing End user computer workspace, data, and applications.
  • Secondary focus will be providing support and working as a team with the infrastructure services team to support the existing Dell house infrastructure including servers, storage, backup solutions, firewalls, network, data, and applications including patch cycles
  • Good understanding of Virtualisation technology experience (VMWare)
  • Using automation for repeat tasks and checks to improve efficiencies, accuracy and reduce work effort
  • Maintain ITSM ticket queue for all relevant area and escalations
  • Resolve incidents, investigate root cause, and undertake problem management

Work Experience and Qualifications

  • A solid background working within a busy IT team and experience in supporting technical solutions
  • Strong knowledge of End User Technologies like Citrix/remote desktops, Thin Clients (Dell and 10Zig) and UEM solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of administrating and supporting M365 including Exchange Online, Teams
  • Strong knowledge of Unified Communication solutions including Voice solutions (Avaya and 8×8) and MS Teams,
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Cloud technologies (Azure, CBA, MFA, Teams, Intune) and other SaaS solutions.
  • Good understanding of administrating and supporting Azure including Azure AD, Site Recovery, Backup and core Tenant best practices and security standards.
  • Experience in an IT role, implementing change and projects successfully across multiple locations
  • Understanding of Linux would be an advantage.
