Delivering positive outcomes for over 5 million customers

Call us today on 0645217900

Banks, credit card companies and other credit providers sometimes prefer to assign the management of their loans to Link. That’s why you may have received a letter from us explaining that we’re now managing a debt you owed to another lender.

Everyone at Link who engages with our customers knows that every customer must be treated fairly and with respect. We will listen carefully to what you have to say and work to find a positive outcome for you. Ultimately, we’re here to solve problems, not create them.

If you’re a new customer…

As a new customer, there are just two points to remember:

  • From now on, your repayments should be made directly to us — not your original lender
  • If you can’t keep to the arrangements we agree between us, you must let us know straight away so that we can consider a more manageable arrangement. Please call 064 521 7900 or email us at [email protected]

Frequently asked questions

The golden rule.

Nobody enjoys falling behind with their loan repayments, especially in circumstances which are outside of their control. But the golden rule to keep in mind is that the problem will not go away simply because you ignore it. Please talk to us — we want to do all we can to help.

I didn’t borrow any money from Link, so why do I have to pay you?

Through the authorisation given when the loan agreement was signed, the finance company is entitled to transfer the ownership of the loan to other financial institutions by "credit assignment". This change is nothing to be overly concerned about — you’ll find us fair, helpful and sympathetic.

What is the legal basis for this?

Credit assignment is governed by Articles 1260-1264 of the Italian Civil Code and/or the Law on Securitisation, according to which a creditor can transfer the loan, including without the debtor's consent.

I’ve mistakenly sent a payment to my original lender: is that a problem?

No, your creditor will forward the payment to us.

Does Link Finanziaria charge interest to my debt?

Link Finanziaria reserves the right to charge interest and expenses according to applicable legislation.

I can't settle my position in one single payment.

We believe that it is in our mutual interest to find the optimum solution so that each client’s positions can be settled as soon as possible.

What if it wasn't me that ran up the debt?

If you have ANY objection to your position as a debtor of Link, call or write to us immediately, stating the reasons for your objection.

Will Link Finanziaria take legal proceedings to recover unpaid debit ?

Link Finanziaria will take the action it considers most appropriate to recover outstanding balances. If it believes that it is impossible to recover outstanding sums, legal action may be taken.

Am I placed on a list of bad payers?

Clients who fail to fulfil contractual obligations arising from their loans are automatically placed on the list of bad payers by the Financial Institutions they loaned from.

Will I always be listed as a bad payer?

No, but in order for your creditworthiness to be reinstated, all outstanding positions with Link Finanziaria and with other creditors must be settled.

I've settled my debt, why am I still on the list?

Removing you from the list takes time - it's not just a case of sending our receipt.

I can't resolve my financial difficulties.

Don't try to ignore or hide from your creditors. That only makes the situation worse. Give us a call and talk to us.
